The Story

Little did I know that I would ever begin to enjoy cooking..let alone create a food blog.  I grew up with Top Ramen, Kraft Mac & Cheese, and frozen pizzas..and that didn't bother me much until recently.  One day, it just hit me...I'm too old to be eating frozen and instant foods.  Therefore, I started to get inspired to create recipes of my own and much to my surprise, I was actually enjoying them!  It was sort of my "a-ha" moment.

Many thanks to my wonderful fiance who introduced me to food and cooking (along with a plethora of TV shows that he has forced me to watch and am now obsessed with...Dexter, True Blood, Big Love..just to name a few!)  We are recently engaged and amidst the wedding planning, we still squeeze in our "food battles" on weekends (our own version Top Chef, if you will).

I wanted to create a blog to chronicle our recipes and food ventures simply as a way to keep our creations organized.  As an Elite Yelper, I enjoy writing restaurant reviews which I plan to include on my blog as well.  You may also see the occasional product review, as I love buying myself new cooking presents and showing and telling.

Scott and I are located in the beautiful South Bay area of Los Angeles and live with our puppy who we are obsessed with, Sophie.
